Youth Group:  Grades 6 - 8  - Tuesdays - 7 - 8:30pm

Mission:

The goal of the youth groups is to provide the youth of the parish a fun, faith-filled environment that will help each person grow in their relationship with God.  We meet every week, year-round, in the youth room and focus on the areas of catechesis, spirituality, social justice, and building community.  We also offer many retreat opportunities and social activities to keep the youth busy, such as Search, Legendary Lodge, Bible study, worship nights, book club, ski trips, broom hockey, rafting, folf, camping, caving, lock-ins, and much much more!  Don’t miss out, and if you have any questions, please contact Brian Shea at brians@stbernardblgs.org.

Middle School Youth Group - Tuesday 7:00 - 8:30pm

September 16 - Opening Night - We will kick off a new youth group year with prayer, 9 Square, a wheel barrow full of pudding, and much more! Feel free to invite a friend for tonight or any night this year. All are always welcome!

September 23 - Why Are We Here? - This week we are going to attempt to answer that age old question, “Why are we here?” and play the game Move Your Seat.

September 30 - God the Father - Tonight we will be talking about God the Father and playing Gaga Ball.

October 7 - Jesus - Come join us as we discuss who Jesus really was and have a Noodle Jousting tournament!

October 14 (Tuesday 6:30-9:00pm) - Corn Maize - Don’t miss our night at the Corn Maize. We’ll meet at the church at 6:30pm and be back for pickup by 9pm. The cost is $10 and please make sure you wear warm clothes.

October 21 - Holy Spirit - This is our last week discussing God and the Trinity. Come learn more about the Holy Spirit and play parachute games.

October 28 - Fear Factor - This night is always a youth group favorite as we’ll play many different Fear Factor games and discuss putting our faith in God when times
get tough.

November 4 - Worship - Tonight will be a relaxing night of song, prayer, and Name That Tune!

November 11 - Current Events - This week we’ll catch up on all the different faith stories that have happened throughout year. We will also be trying a new game called Halo Ball.

November 14-16 (Friday 8pm to Sunday 11am) - Middle School Retreat - Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity as our high school and college youth will be running a retreat for you! They will be leading the talks, prayer, worship, small groups, and lots of games. The cost is $40 and the deadline to sign up is November 4.

November 18 - The Church - Come join us as we discuss the role of the Church and play many different trust games.

November 25 - No Youth Group - I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break and we’ll see you back next week!

December 2 - Saints and Last Things - This will be a very interesting night as we talk about the saints and what happens after this world. We will also be playing Worm Wrestling for our game!
December 9 (Tuesday 6:40 - 9pm) - Adoration and Game Night - Tonight we are going to meet at the church at 6:40pm and carpool down to St. Pat’s with the other youth groups for a night of Adoration and games. We’ll be back to the church by 9pm for pickup.

December 16 - Christmas Party - This week we will learn about and celebrate Christmas with many games. Please bring a wrapped Christmas gift and wear your best ugly Christmas sweater for a chance at a prize. These are gag gifts so you
don’t need to spend any money on your gift.
