Youth Group - Grades 4-5
Mission:
The goal of the youth groups is to provide the youth of the parish a fun faith-filled environment that will help each person grow in their relationship with God. We meet every week, year round in the youth room and focus in on the areas of catechesis, spirituality, social justice, and building community. We also offer many retreat opportunities and social activities to keep the youth busy such as our summer and fall retreats, CYC Convention, Bible study, worship nights, book club, ski trips, broom hockey, rafting, folf, camping, caving, lock-ins, weekly service projects, and much much more! 4th and 5th Grade Youth Group - Wednesday 4:30 - 5:45pm (Doors open at 4pm)
September 16 - Opening Night - We will kick off the new youth group year with prayer, 9 Square, toilet bowl punch, and much more! Feel free to invite a friend for tonight or any night this year. All are always welcome!
September 23 - Community - Tonight we will discuss the importance of community and play a variety of team-building games.
September 30 - Saints - This week we will discuss everything about the saints and play Halo Ball.
October 7 - Current Events - Join us as we look at the summer and fall news stories involving our faith. We will also be playing several balloon games.
October 13 (Tuesday 6:30-9:00pm) - Corn Maize - Don’t miss our night at the Corn Maize. We’ll meet at the church at 6:30pm and be back for pickup by 9pm. The cost is $10 and please make sure you wear warm clothes.
October 14 - No Youth Group - No Wednesday group this week as we are having a special night at the Corn Maize on Tuesday this week.
October 21 - Happiness - Tonight we will look at what our faith tells us about finding happiness. We will also be playing the youth group favorite, Gaga Ball.
October 28 - Fear Factor - This night is always a youth group favorite as we’ll play many different Fear Factor games and discuss putting our faith in God when times get tough.
November 4 - Worship - Tonight will be a relaxing night of song, prayer, and Name That Tune!
November 11 - Ultimate Bingo - We’ll start this youth group favorite night with a prayer service and then play Ultimate Bingo for the rest of the night.
November 18 - Who Am I? - Tonight we’ll look at some young saints to help us discover who God has created us to be. We will also discuss the Diocesan Safe Environment Program and play Frisbee Dodgeball.
November 25 - No Youth Group - I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break and we’ll see you back next week!
December 2 - American Saints - Join us as we look at the American saints and the history of the Catholic Church in the United States. Our game for the night will be Rainbow Towers.
December 9 - Peace - Tonight we will be talking about Pope Leo’s call for peace and unity and playing a new game called Hover Soccer.
December 16 - Christmas Party - This week we will learn about and celebrate Christmas with many games. Please bring a wrapped Christmas gift and wear your best ugly Christmas sweater for a chance at a prize. These are gag gifts, so you
don’t need to spend any money on your gift.
