Youth Group - Grades 4-5 - Wednesday, 4:30pm to 5:45pm
Mission:
The goal of the youth groups is to provide the youth of the parish a fun faith-filled environment that will help each person grow in their relationship with God. We meet every week, year round in the youth room and focus in on the areas of catechesis, spirituality, social justice, and building community. We also offer many retreat opportunities and social activities to keep the youth busy such as our summer and fall retreats, CYC Convention, Bible study, worship nights, book club, ski trips, broom hockey, rafting, folf, camping, caving, lock-ins, weekly service projects, and much much more! 4th and 5th Grade Youth Group - Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:45pm
December 18 - Christmas Party - This week we will learn about and celebrate Christmas with many games. Please bring a wrapped Christmas gift and wear your best ugly Christmas sweater for a chance at a prize. These are gag gifts so you don’t need to spend any money on your gift.
January 8 - Best of the Year - Help us kick off the new year with a night where we talk about the music, movies, books, and apps that can help our faith. We will also be playing one of my favorite new games of the year!
January 15 - Worship Night - Tonight we will have a night of music, prayer, and tons of different song games!
January 22 - Judaism - Come join us as we begin our series on world religions. Our game for the week will be indoor kickball.
January 29 - Ultimate Bingo - This week we will have a quick prayer service and then play Ultimate Bingo for the rest of the night. There will be plenty of snacks and prizes!
February 5 - Bishop Jeff - Don’t miss this night as Bishop Jeff will be leading the night and other Catholic youth groups will be joining us. Our game for the week will be Four Corners!
February 12 - Who Am I - Tonight we will be talking about who God has created us to be and go over the Diocesan Safe Environment Program. We will also have a huge dodgeball battle.
February 19 - Islam - This week we will learn more about the Muslim faith and play Centipede.
February 26 - Happiness - Come join us as we discuss ways that our faith can improve our happiness. We will also be playing Angry Birds for our game.
March 5 - No Youth Group - No youth group this week as most of the group is on Spring Break. See you next week.
March 12 - Lent - Tonight we will talk about the importance of Lent and play a big Over the Edge tournament.
March 19 - Mass - This week we will discuss why the Mass is so important to Catholics. Our game for the week will be Quidditch!
March 26 - Hinduism - Come join us as we learn about the Hindu faith and play many different balloon games throughout the night.
April 2 - Social Justice - This night is all about how we put our faith into action and love others. We will be playing many different card games throughout the night!
April 4 (Friday 6-8pm) - Soup and Stations - Please join us as the youth group is leading this Friday’s Soup and Stations. If you can help with acting, reading, or making the soup let me know ASAP.
April 9 - Current Events - Tonight we will be having a current events night and have a huge Corn Hole Tournament.
April 16 (Wednesday 4:00 - 5:45pm) - Movie Night - Feel free to bring blankets and snacks as we have a movie night.
April 23 - Finger Rockets - Don’t miss out as we will have evening prayer and then play a huge game of Finger Rockets.
April 30 - Buddhism - This week will be our last night on world religions. Our game for the week will be Sabakiball.
May 7 - Senior Night - Don’t miss this week as the graduating seniors will be hosting prayer, talks, games, and snacks for the night. This is always one of my favorite nights of the year!
May 14 - World Records Night - Tonight we will spend the night talking about how we can improve our faith life and try to break some world records. This is always a youth group favorite!
May 21 - Worship Night - Come join us for a relaxing night of prayer and music. Our game for the week will be Nuke Em.
May 28 - End of the Year Party - Don’t miss our end of the year party to celebrate the year. We will have a BBQ and plenty of games to play.
