Janitorial/Maintenance

Lived in Laurel most of my life, graduated in 1971, married my spouse Jeanmarie of 50 plus years, have three grown children, six grand kids. Have 42 years in management of grocery stores, including 30 at family-owned Jan’s IGA in Laurel. Owner operator of the Beartooth Grill in Laurel for 5 years. The great outdoors is my passion with many miles traveled in the Beartooth’s. Oil painting and most any art is a favorite. Jeanmarie and I spend countless hours attending grandkids’ many school and sporting events. I really enjoy the many fine people here at St. Bernard’s Parish. Trying to be retired but love being out on the trail to speak is keeping me from getting older at home. Beware of the Bear…. BIG GRIZ FAN

Justin Downey

Janitorial/Maintenance

I was born in Great Falls, Mt and moved to Billings as an infant.  I grew up singing in the youth choir, and with the Sunday night 7pm group at St Patrick’s Co-Cathedral with my Mom (Donna) and my Grandma Doris.  I started Cantoring when I was in jr. high and continued at Holy Rosary in 1995.

I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 6 at St. Patrick’s.  I earned my black belt with Grand Master Karlo Fujiwara and the American Moo Do Taekwondo Federation.

I love to be on stage and have performed in over 100 stage shows here locally at BST, ABT, Venture Theater (now Nova Theater), Rimrock Opera Company, Tied to the Tracks Productions, and CDS The Edge.  I traveled across the country performing with Disney Studios, Inc., and Pearlman Talent in Orlando FL for the Spring/Summer Fashion Rocks 2004, and MGM Grand’s Rock Star Family Showcase in Las Vegas.

I love photography, music and creating art.  I went to school for Massage Therapy.  I write a column for Yellowstone County News and have written and voiced a few commercials for their network YCN Radio & Sports.

I joined the team here in June 2024 as part of the Janitorial and maintenance staff.  I think life takes us on an unexpected journey and we find ourselves along the way.  The people we meet help shape the masterpiece we create in life.  Each like a piece to a grand puzzle that is only revealed at the end of our time here on earth.
